Sir William Russell Flint
Born in Edinburgh, Flint worked as a lithographic draughtsman and then as a medical illustrator all while study at art schools in forst Edinburgh and then later in London. He produced watercolour Illustrations for books and theatrical productions and was best known for depictions of women. Flint was elected president of Britain's Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours in 1936 to 1956, and knighted in 1947. www.whytes.ie
