Martina Galvin
Martina Galvin achieved a BA in Fine Art Painting at NCAD and an MA in Fine Art Practice and Theory at the South Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education, Cardiff, Wales. She received a significant visual arts bursary for the development of work that culminated in 'Cubus' exhibited at the Butler Gallery in 2017. Galvin completed a large permanent work for the interior of the UCD Sutherland School of Law, funded by McCann FitzGerald in 2018. She has also installed a large wall piece for the Facebook offices in Cork City. Galvin has been the recipient of numerous awards and bursaries from the Arts Council, including an individual award for her 5-year photographic series Aldborough House. She has had solo shows at: Pallas Projects, Dublin; Wyscodnia Gallery, Poland; Temple Bar Gallery, Dublin as well as participating in numerous group shows. www.whytes.ie
