Gertrude Degenhardt
Gertrude Degenhardt is a German painter and graphic artist. She came to Ireland first in the early 1970s, when she was commissioned to do illustrations for a German edition of a book of short stories by Liam O'Flaherty. She fell in love with the West of Ireland and has returned regularly since. Her work has been shown regularly over the years with the Kenny Gallery in Galway. www.whytes.ie
