Eleanor Elizabeth Greatorex
The daughter of Irish-born illustrator Eliza Pratt Greatorex (1819-1897), Eleanor Elizabeth studied art under her mother and in France, Italy and Germany (see Irish Women Artists, 1987). She worked as an illustrator for Godey’s Magazine and taught out of her mother’s studio in New York during the 1880s. She later settled in Paris, specialising in flower paintings and figure studies. www.whytes.ie
