Douglas Manson Dennehy
Lismore born, Douglas Manson Dennehy showed a natural artistic ability from a young age, winning an open competition organised by the Slade School and receiving encouragement to paint from Father Jack Hanlon. Whilst pursuing a career in management consultancy, he found time and enough energy to devote to painting, holding four solo shows at the Brown Thomas Gallery, Dublin, The Baily in Howth, the Sir Thomas Brown Art Gallery in Dun Laoghaire and another exhibition in Sligo. He painted full-time from his home in Dunboyne, Co. Meath for many years. www.whytes.ie
