  • Official 'The Beatles Show' programme 'Presented by Arthur Howes at the Odeon, Weston-Super-Mare.' With the signatures of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr in black ink on the cover alongside their photographs. Complete with Odeon Theatre ticket for the corresponding show on 24 July 1963. It is believed that the signature of Paul McCartney is by another hand, possibly John Lennon, who frequently signed for him (for example see lot 8). The other signatures are authentic.

The Beatles: Cleveland Stadium concert ticket 14 August 1966

  • An extremely scarce and sought-after ticket for The Beatles concert at Cleveland Stadium on Sunday 14 August 1966. Part of their final U.S. tour the concert had to be temporarily suspended for 30 minutes when 2,500 fans crashed through a security fence and the band were forced to flee from the stage.

Note on the reverse by Allen states This is the first photo I took of Elvis and I call it 'Elvis Enters', taken as he arrived for the press conference. The actor Nick Adams is behind Elvis's right shoulder. Nick and Elvis met on the set of Love Me Tender, which opened two days before he came to Cleveland and Nick followed Elvis along as part of his entourage for a while." Professionaly framed.   • Provenance: Bonhams & Brooks 13 September 2001 lot 319; whence purchased by the present owner
  • An Autowind Sovereign 17 Jewels adjustable watch with gilt. Gifted by Elvis to his manager Colonel Parker and engraved on the reverse Colonel Always Elvis". Elvis was well known for his considerable generosity and this gift was no exception. The watch was presented by Elvis to his long time manager Colonel Tom Parker. Parker was central to the story of the rise of Elvis and has long been a controversial figure. He took over his management in 1955 and had him signed to RCA Victor shortly afterwards. Recognising the talent and marketability which Elvis possessed he helped make him a star. The Sovereign brand of watch was particularly popular during the 1950s and at an early stage in the relationship between Elvis and the Colonel. At a time when the median annual household income was approximately $5,500 this watch cost over a weeks wages and was a generous gift by any standards. An extremely desirable piece and a scarce item concerning the relationship between Elvis and his manager"
