  • Anne Tallentire was born in Co Armagh in 1949. She works primarily in video, film, sound, photography, installation and performance. Between 1966 - 1972 she was taught painting at the Warren Studio Co Down and exhibited at the RUA and RHA 1973 - 1977. In 1983 she studied print at The School of Visual Arts, New York and postgraduate Fine Art Media at the Slade 1986 - 1988. Since 1984 she has been based in London and currently teaches at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. In 1999 she was the sole representative for Ireland at the Venice Biennale; the work at Venice was consequently shown at The Lux Gallery London. Other exhibitions include The Project, Dublin, 1985,1993 and 1989; The Orchard Gallery Derry 1994 and 2001, Camerawork, London 1991, Neue Welt, Frankfurter Kunstverein, Urban Situations, Galerie im Taxipalais, Innsbruck. Since 1993 she has worked collaboratively with John Seth whilst continuing independent projects.
