Our Experienced Administrators
Samantha Wooley, who joined Whyte’s in 2012, is a very experienced administrator having worked for top legal firm William Fry, Solicitors, and the well known English art and antiques auction house, Lawrence’s. Samantha is responsible for the smooth running of the “back office” as well as being in charge of “front of house” where she efficiently directs clients to the appropriate expert.
Matthew Slack MA BAwas appointed Curator at Whyte’s in 2015, having worked on a casual and part-time basis for the firm for over ten years. Mathew is responsible for the safe storage, conservation and exhibition of works of art and collectibles consigned to Whyte’s for sale, as well as photography and imaging of collectibles for the on-line and printed catalogues. He also assists at the auctions and gives talks about some of the works of art on exhibition. Matthew holds a Masters Degree (Art in the Contemporary World) from the Visual Culture Department of the National College of Art and Design. He has a Bachelors’ Degree in Visual Arts Practice from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dun Laoghaire and a BA in Natural science (Physics with Astrophysics) from Trinity College Dublin. Prior to embarking on his Masters studies Matthew collaborated in running the programming and execution of exhibitions for Flatpack Galleries and Studios in Smithfield, which he co-founded. He has taken part in or facilitated a number of public talks, performances and exhibitions in the Arts in Dublin and around the country.
Sean Kelly joined Whyte’s Accounts Department in 2012 having previously worked in the accounts department of high profile firms, such as Ivor Fitzpatrick & Company Solicitors, Dublin. He is the first point of contact for Whyte’s valued clients whether paying for purchases or seeking payment for sales. Seán is highly regarded for his personable and down to earth manner in smoothing even the most difficult of international transactions in order that buyers may enjoy their purchased treasures hassle free and sellers can expect a speedy
and reliable payment.
